Ensembles & Singing Opportunities

An auditioned, Level III curricular ensemble, made up primarily of junior and senior mixed voices. Performs advanced level music.

An advanced, auditioned, curricular Level II ensemble made up of sophomore, junior, and senior treble voices.

An auditioned, curricular Level II ensemble made up of sophomore, junior, and senior mixed voices.

A non-auditioned curricular ensemble of freshmen treble voices.

A non-auditioned curricular ensemble of freshmen tenors and basses.

Co-curricular Ensembles

Additional auditioned ensembles rehearse outside of class, performing as small groups for concerts and special events. Ensembles include Rebelution.

NWSC All-Conference Choir

Students in Concert Choir may choose to audition to sing with the All-Conference Choir, performing with this very selective ensemble in February.

All-State Choir and Ninth & Tenth Grade State Honor Choir

Students may choose to audition for the All-State choirs and perform in February. Auditions for All-State Choir are due in the spring for the following year. Auditions for Ninth & Tenth Grade State Honor Choir are due in October of each year.

Vocal Solo or Ensemble Masterclass

Student soloists or small ensembles may learn and perform a choral work for the masterclass with evaluation by a guest clinician.

CPHS Musical Theatre

Performance opportunities are available through fully staged productions throughout the year. Watch for audition information.

Students interested in voice lessons may contact private instructors who teach voice. Recommended instructors are listed at CPHSVocalMusic.org/Lessons.

Perform the National Anthem

Student soloists or small ensembles may learn and perform the national anthem at school-sponsored athletic and community events.
